Darkstalker was a hybrid dragon born in pyrrhia long ago under three full moons to Prince Arctic of the Icewings and Foeslayer of the nightwings. Despite his hybrid status he barely looked the part, only having a single stripe of icewing scaled under each of his wings. He is known to be the most powerful dragon to exist in all of phyrrian history, having hatched under three full moons he had mind reading, and prophecy foresight that were heightened by the third full moon. Accompanied with these nightwing abilities was also animus magic he inherited from his icewing father Prince Arctic. These abilities were both a blessing for a time, but became to be seen as a curse once the powers he had, were then abused by him as he aged and far, far into the future.

He became a dangerous legend to the nightwings after too much usage of his animus abilities, making himself an immortal, having his father put on a gruesome display in an act of "vengeance" when enchanting him to horrendously end his own life, as Arctic had not been the greatest father to Darkstalker or his sister Whiteout. This led to the nightwings forever fleeing their home on the Phyrrian mainland and solidifying Darkstalker as a terrifying legend to haunt them for generations. His former girlfriend Clearsight, as well as former best friend Prince Fathom of the Seawings, a fellow animus, took a special enchanted bracelet that was gifted from Darkstalker to Clearsight, and slipped it onto his wrist putting him to sleep. He could not be killed, so an eternal slumber in a cave soon to be closed up and would become Agate Mountain was the solution. However, after 2,000 years of this enchanted slumber induced by Clearsight and Fathom, the bracelet broke. Darkstalker awoke, and when Moonwatcher began attending Jade Mountain academy, he had another mind reader to communicate with. This was the beginning of his final end.

When Darkstalker was a dragonet, he enchanted many things, one of such being a scroll that he put all his power into, alongside an hour class that was able to read the goodness of one's soul. Unfortunately, by enchanting that scroll he had left himself powerless, but that didn’t mean he couldn't use the power. He did use it, very often, and even if he thought it protected his soul, it did not. And in his slumber it was then picked up by a rainwing named Chameleon, who had begun using it to transform his species of dragon and for other things as well. The scroll was eventually destroyed by the firescales skywing known as Peril, in an act to try destroying the power forever, which backfired horribly, as this action gave Darkstalker his powers back, allowing him to burst free from his mountain prison.

After being freed, Darkstalker named himself king of the Nightwings, taking any nightwings that would follow him from the rule of Queen Glory the Rainwing. He gave some powers, became a tyrant, attempted to start a war with the nightwings and icewings, tried to wipe out the other existing animus dragons, and even tried to reanimate Clearsight, much to his failure. All of this led to chaos, him wanting to be a king of all tribes. And so, he needed to be stopped. And he was, by Qiblie the Sandwing, Moonwatcher the nightwing, Prince Winter the icewing, his own Mother, Foeslayer, who had not been dead but rather enchanted to stay alive frozen in ice until Winter freed her, and ultimately, Kinkajou the rainwing. With an enchantment from his former scroll, Kinkajou gave him a strawberry, and this strawberry enchanted him to become an ordinary dragon, or well, an ordinary hybrid dragon, a nightwing rainwing hybrid known as Peacemaker.
