Silkwings are a tribe found on pantala that alongside the hivewings, are descendants of the former tribe/species known as beetlewings. However unlike Hivewings, silkwings are not descended from clearsight. Due to this silkwings will NEVER have any black scales, closest colors they will have is a dark color.

Silwkings are a tribe that resemble that of a butterfly, the fact they go through something known as metamorphosis helps to solidify this notion. They do not hatch with their wings, but rather, at the age of six go through metamorphosis where they develop silk in their wrists that they can spin. They go into a trance and the silk spins a cocoon around them where for a few weeks they reside as their wings develop.

Abilities they posess is being able to spin silk just as mentioned above, but very rarely will silkwings be able to produce what is known as flamesilk. This is where the silk that they produce is not usual silk, but rather as the name implies, flaming silk that is as you can guess, a type of fire.
