Located within the Kingdom of Sand/the desert on pyhrria is the Scorpion Den. It is south of the Sandwing Royal Stronghold.

The Scorpion Den was created during the War of Sandwing succession originally as a place of refuge for sandwings who, during the war, had not chosen a sister to support. However, it very quickly fell into a pit of despair and became a den of thieves and a crime filled city.

However, a few years before the end of the War of Sandwing Succession, there was a sandwing who slowly came to power and was working to make the Scorpion Den a better place for all the dragons in it. As by that point there was more than just Sandwings staying there for refuge. This sandwing was none other than Queen Thorn of the Sandwings, who established the Outclaws as a sort of police system to oversee the city and to do what they could against crime and to support the inhabitants of the den.

Even with Thorn however there was still crime throughout the Scorpion Den. Even after she left after becoming Queen, there was still crime even if it was being fought. The Scorpion den still exists as an unruly city among the dunes of the desert.
