Moonwatcher, otherwise known as Moon for short, is a nightwing met in the second arc and is one of the first students at jade mountain academy. She is known for being shy as wwell as the fact she did not grow up on the nightwsing isle like the other nightwings. (Minus Starflight of course)

Having hatched in the rainforest due to her mother, Secretkeeper, smuggling her egg off the island and into the rainforest, Moon was able to hatch underneath two full moons. Due to the moonlight of these moon hitting her egg, Moon was gifted the long lost nightwing powers of prophecy and mindreading.

At jade mountain academy, Moon was put into the jade winglet with her clawmates, Kinkajou and Carnelian as well as her other winglet clawmates being Umber, Turtle, Winter and Qibli. However, after the explosion of the history cave, which Moon foresaw in a vision, Carnelian was replaced afterher untimely death by the firescales Peril.

While at the academy, Moon was able to communicate with the long lost nightwing legend of Darkstalker, he became a sort of friend to her as they wsere the only two nightwings capable of mindreading and prophecy during this time. However, he tricked Moon into believing he was a friend. This led to him eventually getting free and causing the tumultuous rampage of his return.

However, despite having a prophecy, this time a genuine one to fulfill, Moon and her friends/clawmates were able to put a stop to Darkstalker, turning him into the harmless dragonet known as Peacemaker. After this however, Moon had another prophecy, this time relating to the lost continent of Pantala, allowing her to assist with a group aiming to aid the struggling dragons of pantala and help guide them to ending the reign of the tyranical Hivewing and Silkwing queen Wasp.
