Hello lovely scavengers and dragons of Pyrrhia!

I am Orion Everglade and I would like to invite you on a trip through the wonderful World of Jade Mountain! We will be interviewing people from all over the site to get to know them and their jobs better. If you're interested, keep their words in mind, you never know when you'll be given the chance to take a position like they did! For our next interview blog we have none other than...drumroll please...Nyemphos Ayndysded our amazing Top Scribe who unfortunately had to step down. However, he decided to share his wisdom before he left!

In your own words, what does it mean to be a Top Scribe?

To be a Top Scribe to me means being able to accommodate the crazy ideas that the amazing salmons give to me. I think there needs to be a big balance between making sure the idea doesn’t break article rules but can also be as crazy as possible. It also means being scheduled and good at timing, as well as trying to make sure your salmons feel their work is being appreciated.

Which parts of your job do you enjoy most and least?

Honestly, I love my job entirely from monitoring articles, to posting them, to coding, to pushing people for articles, as well as making sure the site enjoys them and comments. The hardest part of the job really comes from the site as opposed to the team, it’s the not always seeing comments on the articles and salmons not always feeling like their articles are being read.

What are some pros and cons of your job?

I think a huge pro of this job (as it’s non-management) is that you can really focus on the paper as opposed to your team AS WELL as the wellbeing of the site (not that I don’t, but I don’t have as much responsibility :p)

If you could do any other job on site, what would you choose?

I would be Counsellor of Hall Monitors (ironic since the current Hall Monitor lead is related to me) but yes I love the grep team and so leading it would be a dream.

If your job could have any other color which one would you choose?

#badd1e of course, because only badd1e’s get the job!
