Highlight Class!

Hello everyone! Welcome back to… *long pause* HIGHLIGHT CLASS! by Brinley Sade!

This week, I am here with the wonderful class of Combat. Combat is a year 4 class, and goes up to year 7. Right now, you can take it up until year 5!

So, you start your journey in year four. The class begins with an introduction like all classes do, so you can get to know the teacher better! It’s probably one of my favorite lesson names that I’ve seen: ‘Hi, Hello, Hey, Heya, Heyo’ I think that it’s cool! People say hi in so many different ways on the site! Next, you learn exactly what 10 parts of your body you should protect when you’re in a swordfight, and move on to stance. From there, you jump into fist fighting. (KaPOW!)

Now that you know how to fight, you need to know some techniques. That includes the ‘dodge and block,’ how to throw some speedy punches, how to kick correctly, and saving stamina when you’re in a fight! All very helpful for fighting!

Finally, we’re at the exam review and the exam. Once you pass it, (because you’re smart), you can move onto year five!

Welcome to year 5! We start out with a classic welcome lesson! This is so you can let the teacher and other students know what you did over the break! The next week, you hop into a lesson of some ‘last-minute chaos.’ Chaos is always good. So much better than order. After some always well-needed chaos, we move to see a bit more into the art of combat. *sword flourish*

We learn about how we use our legs in fighting in the next two lessons! This is very important-- stance is key.

This is what the wonderful preceptor Eliora Archeletta teaches us! Speaking of Eliora, I’ve asked her a few questions about the subject!

Here are her answers!

1. Give one adjective to describe how you felt when you got the job.

When I first got the job? There are a few words that came into thought but I'd describe it as 'impressive', because I did the app in such a hurry that I didn't even have the time to write and code a lesson, and I was actually quite surprised when I got the job.

2. What is the best thing about your class that makes it unique?

I think the most unique thing would be the fact that a 90-year-old granny is teaching this class, can you ever imagine that?

3. What is your favorite lesson that you wrote? Why?

My favorite lesson? I think I shouldn't be too biased on this one, but I feel like I really put my heart and soul into Year 1's first lesson.

Thank you so much Eliora!!

Y’all year fours-- go take her class!

I hope you guys have enjoyed this week's articles! Leave in the comments which class you’d like to see next!
