Hello, hello, lovely Dragons!!
Here Yahli "Velvet" again with the section:

Mythological dragons: Ying Long

The dragon Ying Long, the obedient one, was in the service of the great god Huang Di, the Yellow god. The great Yellow God, Huang Di, was the protector of the earth and that is why he was represented by his color. It was also considered the source of Chinese civilization and culture. Therefore he is presented as a lover of peace but also as a fierce warrior against all those who try to alter his civilizing work.

It is said that who he had to face first was his brother, the Flame God, Yan Di, with whom he shared his kingdom. Huang Di used water and his brother used fire. Water defeated fire and thus ruled over the entire kingdom.

It is said that when the god of war, Chi Yu, who used the rain as a combat weapon, constantly flooding the earth, discovered the treatment of iron, and the manufacture of weapons with this metal, he believed himself the strongest of the gods and tried to impose himself on them.

The Yellow god also fought him, this time using the drought, provided by his daughter Nu Ba.

However, at the end of this fight, Nu Ba, was left without strength to go back up to the heavens and had to stay on earth. This was catastrophic for the inhabitants of the land as the drought wiped out the sources and dried up the irrigation canals. Until, the men themselves got a spell that made her march to her refuge in the North.

But when the lady of the Drought, with her powers, killed the rain of her rival and managed to dominate it, the great yellow god, Huang Di sent his obedient dragon to execute him.

The dragon Ying Long also had powers both to cause drought and to cause rain and he used them opportunely following the orders of the Yellow god.

And this is all for today, dear Dragons. Enjoy your week!
