In this lesson, you will learn how to make... Banana Bread!
Here is a simple and easy-to-follow recipe for banana bread:
*Ingredients*
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 8 tablespoons unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 2 large eggs
- 3 ripe bananas
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
*Instructions*
- Preheat the oven to 325°F.
- Grease a 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan.
- In a bowl, cream the sugar and butter together until light and fluffy.
- In another bowl, mash the bananas with a fork.
- Add the eggs to the sugar and butter mixture and mix well.
- Add the mashed bananas and milk to the mixture and stir well.
- Sift the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 1 hour and 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 15 minutes.
- Remove the bread from the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
This recipe yields a delicious and moist banana bread that is perfect for breakfast or as a snack. Happy baking!
