In today’s SEO blog post, we will be discussing the beautiful LeafWing tribe first mentioned in The Lost Continent (arc #3) let’s jump in!
Prior to the Tree Wars, the LeafWings lived in the vast forests of Pantala in harmony with the HiveWings & SilkWings. All three of the tribes had respect for one another, and they had their own individual queens. However, they equally shared the land on Pantala, because at the time they were equals. However, after the Tree Wars, LeafWings were forced to retreat into the Poison Jungle and learn to survive. It’s implied in the series that there were many fatalities before the LeafWing tribe truly learned how to survive in the harsh circumstances that they were unexpectedly forced into. Thankfully, the original Queen before the Tree Wars, Sequoia, survived and was able to lead her tribe- or, at least part of it. Once the tribe was settled in the Jungle, it came to light that different dragons had different opinions about how to deal with Queen Wasp. With that, the LeafWing tribe split up - one half initially led by Linden before she died, and the other half by Sequoia. The two halves were more or less peaceful, but let’s take a deeper look at their differences.
Nicknamed by the PoisonWIng tribe (see below) this part was the half of the LeafWings that supported peace and did not want to start any more fighting with the HiveWings & followed Sequoia. This was arguably the smart decision, considering the fact that even if the LeafWings were a full tribe, they still would be grossly outnumbered by the HiveWings and SilkWings. This part was given their nickname due to the fact that the PoisonWings thought they were soft and too weak to even try to go up against Wasp and her unfair causes.
The PoisonWings had a much more military-like setup of things, which included guards, generals, and instead of a Queen, they had Belladonna as simply their leader. Belladonna had taken over after Linden had passed, and Sundew would’ve been next in line for leader along with her betrothed, Mandrake despite being a lesbian and in a relationship with Willow. The PoisonWings believed that ultimately, the Hives and preferably also the HiveWings needed to go. Their main form of trying to get this done was good ol’ arson- just lighting up the Hives and watching them burn. After coming in contact with Blue and Cricket, it finally seemed to occur to them the amount of innocent lives could be at risk- even the innocent HiveWings who had never done anything wrong to the LeafWings. What Are the LeafWings Up To Currently? After the conclusion of the Tree Wars and Wasp was gone, the PoisonWings and SapWings regrouped under Sequoia briefly. The now-united tribe began replanting trees across Pantala with the intention to bring back the lush forests that once completely covered the continent. After the group of dragons headed to Pantala to stop the Breath of Evil, Hazel ascended to the throne, taking Sequoia’s place peacefully. At the moment, the LeafWings are at peace with all other tribes and are canonically led by Queen Hazel.
