Have you ever wanted to learn more about those mystical nightwings? If your answer to that question is yes, then you should look closer, because that’s the tribe we will look deeper into today.
Let’s start with their appearance. Nightwings have a forked black tongue. Their scales are dark, from pitch black to purplish-black, but they can also be very deep blue or dark green. Their underscale and the underside of their wings can have different patterns of scattered silver, which they usually pass down in generations. It can look almost like stars in the night sky. Their eyes can have different colors as well, usually dark, from dark green, purple, blue, and brown to black. They can melt into the shadows when they want to stay unseen.
NightWings live in the Rainforest, not that far from the RainWings but they used to live in The Lost City of Nights, also called the old Night Kingdom. They are known for being mysterious and for being manipulative and they do their best to protect anyone from knowing their weaknesses.
Here at World of Jade Mountains, NightWings have special abilities depending on their age. Between the ages of 1 and 13, Nightwings gets to choose one of two abilities. Strong Sense Of Smell or Night Vision. If they choose the strong sense of smell, it allows the Nightwing to smell any type of dragon or scavenger that is up to 30 meters away. However, if they instead chose Night Vision, they could see in complete darkness. From age 14 up to age 16, Nightwings have Retractable Teeth which means that they can retract their teeth when not using an attack. Between the ages of 17 and 20, NightWings have Fire Breathing which means that they can breathe fire for up to 20 seconds as long as their body is warm enough. From the age of 21 and up, they have Shield of Darkness, which means they can completely disappear into the dark and/or shadows for up to 60 seconds.
Nightwings have had very tense relationships with a lot of the other tribes, but there is one tribe they haven’t interacted with a lot, which has given them a neutral relationship with that tribe, and that’s the MugWings. Their relationship with the RainWings on the other hand has been very problematic because the Nightwings used to kidnap them and use them for experiments. When it comes to the NightWings' relationship with the SkyWings and IceWings, it hasn’t been great and they have been enemies most of the time. When it comes to the SeaWings tribe, the relationship has had its ups and downs. Sometimes they’ve been enemies and other times they’ve been allies. NightWings are known for having a manipulative way, which has affected their relations with the other tribes, especially the SandWings during the War of SandWing Succession when the NightWings used their abilities to support Blister for their own gain.
