Today we are going to the sky kingdom to look at Peril WoF!
In Wof, Peril is a female SkyWing and the main character of Escaping Peril. She hatched with firescales and was Queen Scarlet's royal champion in the SkyWing Arena. She is the daughter of Chameleon and Kestrel. Peril attended Jade Mountain Academy as a member of the Jade Winglet. Peril's scales are bright, glowing, and shimmering, and steam smoke, and heat give her the appearance of burning from the inside. Her scales radiate blistering, burning heat that feels like standing too close to a volcano, and her face shows very intense emotions. She has a long tail with gold running through her copper wings, as well as strange blue and black eyes. Her eyes have also been described to be like two small blue flames blazing through smoke. She has sharp teeth and horns that are full size.
When she was a dragonet, Peril was curious and delighted. When she was in the Sky Kingdom, she was a killer and did not seem to care that other dragons feared her. She did not feel bad about killing dragons, she just viewed it as a pattern, and she seemed unconcerned by how much death she had caused. However, she did feel guilt for thinking she was responsible for Sky's death. She believed being a monster was her true nature and had accepted herself as one. Despite this, she often tried to make herself as small as possible and was quiet upon meeting other unfamiliar dragons. She is awkward and sad, and Moonwatcher described Peril's mind as almost impossible to read; it is all fire. She is not a planner and is not skilled at remembering faces. She loves the idea of family. She is fierce, sensible, strange, and hopeful. In WoF, Peril usually tackles problems by flying at them directly. She has a strong personality, often met with dislike from other dragons. Peril wants to be ordinary, and she also believes that being alone is awful.
In WoF, Peril becomes obsessed with a dragon named Clay and wants to join him and his friends on a journey but feels she does not deserve to come with them until she can become safer and better. She cares for his safety and makes many of her decisions based on him and his health. She wants to take care of him, but feels jealous of his other friends and family. Clay speaks to her in a soft voice when Peril is about to hurt others and gives her grateful smiles when she stops herself from violence. His smile lights candles in her heart, and he wants Peril to make her own choices. In WoF, Clay sees the good in Peril and believes that she is more than a killer, encouraging her to become better and wanting her to make her own choices. Peril becomes better with Clays help, and moves away from feeling awful.
