In WoF, Blue is a blue SilkWing dragonet that was the protagonist of The Lost Continent. Blue was born and resided in Cicada Hive until the events of The Lost Continent; he currently lives in the LeafSilk Kingdom. Originally, Blue was going to be named Dusky. He is also a flamesilk dragon, just like his father, Admiral. Blue is kind and likes to imagine what it is like to be other dragons. He tends to follow the rules and doesn’t like getting in trouble. In The Lost Continent, however, he is forced to break the rules in order to save his sister, Luna, which makes him realize that some rules should not be followed.
Blue smells like bananas. He has bright azure scales, with purple scales on his back and arms. His wings are purple and cerulean. His wrists emit a subtle glow due to him being a flamesilk. His wingbuds were deeper purple than the rest of his scales and small. He has his and his parent’s initials inscribed on his palm. The two Bs and an A form a triangle; they stand for Blue, Burnet, and Admiral. He went to school at Silkworm Hall.
In The Lost Continent, Blue meets a HiveWing named Cricket whilst escaping from the HiveWings under Queen Wasp’s mind control. She helped him hide and burned off his wristband. She then came with him to free Swordtail and save Luna. After that, she stayed with him throughout the third arc. Cricket thinks that Blue is the most beautiful dragon she has met. Blue understands her and would go anywhere with her. They both want each other to be safe.
Towards the end of The Lost Continent, Blue meets a LeafWing named Sundew. While she may be fierce on the outside, Blue believes that she is kind on the inside. He often surprises her by not following SilkWing stereotypes. While they are friends, they do not always agree on things; Sundew likes to be more aggressive and violent than Blue.
When Blue is captured by the HiveWings in The Lost Continent and imprisoned in the flamesilk cave, he meets his father. Like Blue, Admiral is a flamesilk, but unlike Blue, he tries to fix things passively by following the rules and fruitlessly writing letters to the Queen. Blue is willing to fight for what he thinks is right, even though he doesn’t want to hurt anyone else.
Luna is Blue’s half-sister, and they immensely love and care about each other. When she comes out from her cocoon, Blue cries because he misses her. Luna wanted to spend the day before her metamorphosis with Blue. Luna is one of his best friends.
