Lily Grackle: Greetings and salutations! It is I, Lily Grackle, Counsellor of Transmissions, here with my very first blog post (regretfully)! Some of you may recall Cory Chadbourne's small slew of interviews with certain members of the staff, and for those of you who've been here a little longer, Arverna Destiny had been leading the charge of showing you users what we colored names do behind the scenes.
Well--it's my turn now. And I intend to lead with a banger.
I've got a special treat for you all today. Our wonderful and supreme Overseer, who many of you have seen before, has agreed to face the fiery trials of...
...questioning.
Please welcome Miss Cassandra Elion to the metaphorical and imaginatory stage!
So, Cassandra--or can I call you Cass?--could we have a little brief introduction as to who you are and what your job is on site?

Cassandra Elion: Oh! Sure, I suppose I have a moment. I'm the Overseer. *blink* Oh, am I supposed to say more? Okay, sorry, well, I'm in charge of leading the Council, and together we make sure the continents operate smoothly. You know, coordinating with the royal families, organizing trade routes and communications, settling disputes. I used to work in urban development, and I guess I did pretty well. Someone nominated for Overseer, so now I'm here. Uh, yeah. Is that good?

Lily Grackle: That's perfect. Well, we're all glad to have you here, even if you were just...spontaneously nominated. Urban development's a pretty cool area to work in. Communicating with the royal families must be difficult sometimes, though, especially when things get heated. Luckily, you have me to help handle intertribal relations!
Your day sounds pretty busy. Would you mind telling our audience a little more about a day in the life of Overseer?

Cassandra Elion: That's true, I couldn't ask for a more capable person than you in the position. A day in the life...it changes pretty often, but I always get up around 5 in the morning, go for a run or to the gym. Then I get ready for work and head to the Claws of the Clouds. I start the work day by combing through my letters, responding to anything important, and then get to my tasks. Sometimes its hours of meetings, sometimes its events, could be on-site visits, anything really. I like to think of it as general damage control. After work I like to spend some time with my friends. Autumn, she's on the Council too. Or Lysander, he's been my friend since the Academy. I'm not big on staying out late, but sometimes I make an exception.

Lily Grackle: Aw, thanks! I'm touched.
5 AM in the morning's pretty early. I personally could never. I wasn't aware that you were friends with Autumn Wilde- I bet it's assuring to know that you have a friend to work with, though.
Going a little off topic here, but I have to ask--what's your workout regime look like, and what purpose does exercising serve you, specifically? Some hit the weights to get their minds off things. Others open their wings for a quick flight to strengthen both their mental and physical capacities. What does the Overseer of the continents do with her exercise time?

Cassandra Elion: Yeah, we met recently but she's been great. Oh, uh, yeah I'm happy to share. I like to have some structure and discipline in my life, and working out regularly gives me that. I like to stay in shape in general as well, because my job can definitely be fairly active. Obviously everyone should do whatever works best for them, this is just my go-to. I start in dragon form, usually go for a quick fly around the area and then switch to Scavenger form for everything else. I use weights for upper body, do some sort of mat workout for core, and then back to weights for lower body. Honestly I could go in-depth on my workout routines for a long time, but I have a feeling no one wants to hear that.

Lily Grackle: I'm sure we'd love to hear more about your routines! I'm half-serious about that too. Well, I suppose I really should let you go now. Thank you so much for coming on, Cassandra! Glad to have you as our Overseer.
