Hello, hello, lovely Dragons!!
Here Yahli "Velvet" again with the section:

Mythological dragons.

Today we are going to talk about the mythological figure of the Chinese Dragon as such and what it represents. Westerners, for example, see it as one of the best-known icons, although not so much for its meaning as for its aesthetics. Curiously, we are not talking about statues or paintings, but about tattoos, this animal being one of the favorite motifs for lovers of this art.
So let's see what does the Chinese Dragon really represent?

First of all, we must differentiate them from western dragons in that they are depicted as a mixture of different animals. They have eagle claws, tiger hind legs, the body of a sea serpent, fish scales, carp whiskers ... And unlike their aggressive and unreasonable from the West, the dragons of China are considered masters of wisdom, prosperity and good luck. These powerful mythological entities are also related to water in nature (seas, rivers, rains) and to the power struggle between good and evil, or Ying and Yang.
Chinese dragons are taken as examples of success in the fight against adversity; The qualities traditionally associated with the dragon in China are courage, generosity, heroism, and perseverance.

Although at the same time, they are represented as very proud beings, capable of manipulating natural forces (of which they are partly messengers and partly owners) to the detriment of men, when their wise advice is not heeded. But they are always protective beings who, thanks to their divine nature, can invoke spiritual entities and prevent those who carry their emblems from all evil.

There are three other mystical animals in the culture of China, the Turtle, the Phoenix and the Unicorn, although they are not as well known as the dragon, perhaps because of how fantastic the image of the latter seems to us. We must remember that in most cases it is a kind, wise and protective being, nothing to do with Western dragons, so aggressive and mindless. And that is why, in all cultures, they are so admired.

And this is all for today, dear Dragons. Enjoy your day!
