Hello, hello, lovely Dragons!!
Here Yahli "Velvet" again with the section:

Mythological dragons.

But today we are going to change a bit. We have talked about some dragons from Chinese mythology in previous weeks; but in the Nordic they also have a special meaning. So today I'm going to introduce you to the

Dragon Nidhogg

From the world of the Valkyries, elves, dwarves, among others, comes Nidhogg, a Viking dragon, belonging to Norse and Scandinavian mythology.

Among its terrifying purposes was to disturb the human souls of Niflheimo also known as the home of the mist, a world where cold, darkness and of course a perpetual mist reigned. But this main task was preceded by a series of actions. In principle, Nidhogg lived in this place, very close to a source of icy waters called "the boiling cauldron", above this structure was this creature wearing down the roots of the tree of life or the Yggdrasil with its teeth.

It turned out that the roots and branches of this plant, known as a species of evergreen ash, linked 9 worlds and emanated the essence of the well of knowledge. So… what a gnawing thing! He wore it down until the end of the world, called by the Scandinavians the Ragnarök: a battle between the gods, at which point the top of the tree fell.

This "vegetarian" dragon is more like a snake, only with front legs; its physiognomy very appropriate to move around the bottom of the earth.

And this is all for today, dear Dragons. Enjoy your week!
