SandWing Abilities and Traits

SandWings have pale gold or sandy-colored scales that blend with desert terrain. Their most distinctive weapon is a venomous barb at the tip of their tail — a single sting can be fatal. They can also withstand extreme heat, go long periods without water, and breathe fire. Their black forked tongues can sense heat signatures, making them excellent trackers.

The SandWing War of Succession — fought between sisters Blaze, Blister, and Burn — is the central conflict of the first Wings of Fire arc and reshaped all of Pyrrhia.

The Kingdom of Sand

The SandWing territory is the largest in Pyrrhia, spanning a vast desert with oases, the Scorpion Den trading post, and the magnificent SandWing stronghold. The Scorpion Den is a lawless marketplace where dragons from all tribes mingle, making it one of the most exciting locations in the series.
